The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences has unveiled the nominations for the 91st Oscars. This took place on Tuesday Jan. 22, at the Samuel Goldwyn Theatre in Beverly Hills, California.

The nominations for the 91st Oscars were announced on Tuesday  by Tracee Ellis Ross (“blackish”) and 2018 Oscar nominee Kumail Nanjiani (“The Big Sick”).

The final voting will start on the 20th of February and will run for eight days. The Academy Awards ceremony will also take place on 24th of February at the Dolby theatre in Hollywood, and for the first time in three decades, it won’t have a host.

Nominees were announced in the following categories: Supporting Actor, Supporting Actress, Costume Design, Film Editing, Original Score,  Sound Editing, Sound Mixing, Animated Short, Live Action Short, Picture, Director, Actor, Actress, Adapted Screenplay, Original Screenplay, Cinematography, Makeup and Hair styling, Original Song, Production Design, Visual Effects, Animated Feature, Documentary Feature, Documentary Short and Foreign Language Film.

Movies like Olivia Colman’s period comedy-drama, The Favourite and Netflix’s black-and-white epic Roma had the highest Oscars nomination this year with 10 nominations each.
