Michelle Obama gave her final speech as first lady of the US on Friday, 6th of January 2017. In what could be termed as an inspirational and emotional message, Michelle said that being first lady has been “the greatest honour” of her life.
The first lady delivered her remarks at an event honouring the 2017 School Counsellor of the Year. The ceremony, which the first lady introduced in 2015, throws a spotlight on high-school counsellors who have demonstrated leadership skills, according to CNN.
She advised young people not to be afraid but to be focused, determined, hopeful and get an education.
