67-year-old Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has been charged with misconduct by the Football Association following Sunday’s win over Burnley.
Wenger then stood in the tunnel to watch the closing moments of the match, where Arsenal would claim a dramatic victory, but was told he had to leave by fourth official Anthony Taylor.
Wenger shoved Taylor twice as stewards stood between them.
The statement on the FA website regarding the incident says: ‘It is alleged that in or around the 92nd minute, [Wenger] used abusive and/or insulting words towards the fourth official.
‘It is further alleged that following his dismissal from the technical area, his behaviour in remaining in the tunnel area and making physical contact with the fourth official amounted to improper conduct. [Wenger] has until 6pm on 26 January 2017 to respond to the charge.’
