The late rap artist Tupac Shakur will soon be honoured with an on-stage tribute by his friend and once label mate, Snoop Dogg.
Tupac will become the first solo rap artist to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and his friends have planned something special for the ceremony.
According to TMZ, reports the induction ceremony at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on April 7, and he will honor Pac with an on-stage tribute.
Sources say that Snoop’s tribute will include a medley of classics, including 2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted, California Love, also being a part of the tribute, if they go for the clean version. Artistes such as Dr. Dre who produced and was also featured on the track, have been asked to join the tribute.
Tupac’s fans really want to know if Tupac himself will make an appearance at the ceremony. Lol. Recall that in 2012, at the 2012 Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival in Indio, Calif, Snoop performed alongside his deceased friend and Dr. Dre with the help of the hologram of TuPac Shakur created by special effects production house Digital Domain. The question on most people’s minds was, “How did they do it?”
Digital Domain co-founder El Ulbrich, who stepped down as CEO, in 2013, had told Wall Street journal that Shakur’s image was fully digital and also an illusion.
The image was said to a 2D image. Shakur’s likeness was projected onto an angled piece of glass on ground, which in turn projected the image onto a Mylar screen on stage.
If you want to see Tupac again, please say hi.
