Twenty students were said to be killed after trees fell on them while swimming in a river during a storm in Ghana.
According to Prince Billy Anaglate, the Ghana National Fire Service spokesman, a group of high school students were swimming at the Kintampo waterfalls, a popular tourist destination in the Brong-Ahafo region when this happened.
He said the storm caused trees to fall on the teenagers while they were in the water. 18 students were said to have died instantly while two others died after being rushed to the hospital.
At the time of the report, 11 students were receiving treatment, including one of the school administrators who was in charge of the trip.
