Video: Injunction on Okafor’s Law Lifted, movie to premiere in Cinemas Nationwide today.

Okafor's Law

An injunction on the film, Okafor’s Law which was placed on the 24th of March has finally been lifted.

Okafor’s Law is a movie produced by Nollywood actress and director, Omoni Oboli.

Justice Ibrahim Buba had on the 24th of March 2017 granted an interim order, stopping the premiere “Okafor’s Law” which was scheduled to hold on the evening of same day.

This was after Mr. Jude Idada, a Canada based script writer had accused Omoni Oboli of copyright infringement and also laid claim to the film “Okafor’s Law” as his intellectual property.

Idada added that Omoni had stolen his story idea for the movie in September 2016, taken the work he had done regarding “Okafor’s Law,” and developed it without giving him due credit.

Justice Ibrahim Buba had also issued an Anton piller Order (order to enter and seize) to seize all copies, projections, materials, or infringing materials, relating to the subject matter.

Yesterday, Omoni Oboli, in a video announced that the injunction on the movie has been lifted and the movie will be showing in all cinemas nationwide today.

Other actors and actresses celebrated with her and are turning up for the movie premiere today.

Congratulations Omoni Oboli.
