Nigerian international singer and Mavin Records superstar, Tiwa Savage, broadcaster, author and vlogger Toke Makinwa, 2010 project fame winner Chidinma Ekile, will speak at the fifth edition of NECLive in 2017. The theme for the 2017 conference is ‘It’s time for Africa’.
This was recently announced by the organizers of NECLive.
According to them, Women are increasingly occupying the front row, from media to music and movies; pushing inspiring careers as actors, musicians, broadcasters, entrepreneurs, managers, and thinkers.
So, As the conference enters year five, more women have signed up for participation, as speakers, panelists, and moderators.
This year’s list includes, Nigerian Pop singer Tiwa Savage, 2010 Project Fame winner and hit maker Chidinma Ekile, broadcaster and vlogger Toke Makinwa, widely decorated actor Kemi Lala Akindoju, award-winning actress Adesua Etomi, showbiz business leader Chichi Nwoko, City FM CEO, Doja Allen, and many more, to be announced soon.
Tiwa Savage who will be the first female panelist to become a lead speaker at the annual event will give a keynote speech at NECLive5. She will join other speakers to discuss this year’s theme, ‘It’s time for Africa’
Toke Makinwa who is popularly known for co-hosting The Morning Drive on Rhythm 93.7 FM, her YouTube vlog series, “Toke Moments” and a book she recently authored, “On Becoming” where she shared her personal experiences will also speak at the event.
Chidinma Ekile, who rose to stardom in 2010 after winning the third season of Project Fame West Africa and became the first female musician to peak at number 1 on the MTV Base Official Naija Top 10 chart after the release of the music video for her “Emi Ni Baller” single, will also speak at the event.
Other speakers are award-winning actors Adesuwa Etomi and Kemi Lala Akindoju, CEO of HEY, What’s ON?, Chi Chi Nwoko, and M.D of City 105.1 FM and City Media Academy, Doja Allen.

NECLive5 which will take place on Wednesday, April 26 at landmark events centre, Victoria Island, Lagos, will feature some of the most important players in the comedy sector, from pathfinders Ali Baba and Opa Williams, to trail blazers Basketmouth, Basorge Tariah, Tee A, Frank Donga, and Teju Babyface.
The trio of Adewale Ayuba, Sir Shina Peters, and Daddy Showkey will be leading musicians of different generations to the 2017 NECLive conference.
