name blue wind inscribed on each of the fan he produces. Michael is one of those youths who identify a problem and work on ways to solve it.
Veragist spoke with Michael. See what he said in the interview below:
Let’s meet you.
My name is Ukaoma Michael from Imo state but I live with my family in Abia State. I am 21 years old. We are eight children in the family (3 girls, 5 boys). I am the first son but fourth child in the family.
Tell us about your educational background.
I completed my secondary education at Santana Rhetoric International School in Abia State and I want to buy a UTME form this year in order to begin my process of gaining admission into the university.
What course do you intend studying in the University?
Hmmm…… I want to study Aeronautical Engineering but the course is not available in Nigeria and my parents don’t have the necessary funds to send me to study outside the country, i decided to opt for a similar course like Mechanical Engineering.
When did you start inventing?
I started inventing when i was very little (laughs). I usually made standing fans and anything that comes into my mind, even helicopters. But i recently started selling them because people like it and order for it. The fans most especially. I package them and deliver to my customers.
So, how does the fan work?
It is a rechargeable fan and can last up to 12 hours depending on the kind of battery used. For example, if a 3000mAH battery is used, it can last up to 12 hours or more.
Michael packages his products neatly and places them in cartons. In Nigeria where adequate and constant power supply is not a reality, the rechargeable fan is a necessity and with the right people investing in this innovation, it can be improved, utilized and exported.
With the help of the government and concerned citizens, Michael can study the course of his choice, develop and re-brand his inventions and that would be a plus to Nigeria. We can help you reach Michael. Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call Michael on 07067836728
